I started this website in 2010. Starbucks was a completely different experience in 2010 compared to now. All you have to do is read ancient articles on this website about so many things that have come and gone (Teavana Stores, Roy Street Coffeehouse, 15th Avenue Coffee and Tea, coffees of yesteryear and more) combined with how the coffee experience in Starbucks has changed, and it’s clear, Starbucks in 2024 looks nothing like Starbucks of 2010.

On top of it all, in 2018, I switched to a plant-based diet. My journey to eat healthier lead me to realize that 99% of what Starbucks offers is processed foods which really aren’t good for you.

Despite all of this, absolutely I still enjoy a black coffee or iced coffee from Starbucks now and then. But am I fan like I was several years ago? No.

Of course, I hope you enjoy your Starbucks experience. Once in a rare while, I’ll still visit the Seattle Roastery. I still drop by a Starbucks and get a coffee on my way to work on my in-office days in downtown Seattle. It’s just not the same passion for me that it once was.

The beautiful part of my Starbucks experiences was that I met a lot of really wonderful people. Starbucks has always had and still does have some very kind and genuine partners.
